The SMA ESS-RSD01-RSI50 is an external rapid shutdown initiator (“RSI-US-50”) for SMA Home Energy systems. It provides a convenient, code-compliant way to trigger PV rapid shutdown and/or system shutdown when the inverter and battery are not located at the main service panel—ideal for Sunny Boy Smart Energy (SBSE-US-50) installs.
